Our medical center is located 15 miles from Boston and we offer sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery.
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Services.
Must have five years supervisory or departmental management experience in a large Cath and EP Lab setting. ARRT or RN or RCIS, Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in healthcare management is preferred.
Outstanding management and interpersonal skills required. Must be independent and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
Will oversee Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology and Vascular; Vascular Intervention and Surgery; Cardiac and Vascular Rehab, Chest Pain/Cardiac Unit, Wound and Cardio-Pulmonary Clinics and Reports to Chief Nursing Officer.
Responsible for direct management, performance, implementation and outcome monitoring of Cardiovascular Services. Departments include Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab, Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab, Wound Clinic, Vascular Interventional Radiology, Non-Invasive Vascular Lab, Chest Pain/Cardiac Unit, Vascular Surgery departments and outreach activities. Circuitous management responsibilities associated with cardiovascular services including the following units, Telemetry, CCU, Emergency Department, and Home Care.
Summary of essential job functions Developing, reviewing, and achieving cardiac and vascular service-line budgets annually Coordinating with nursing units in the operating room, telemetry, emergency room, home care, clinics and cardiac care units for patient triage, physician needs, and overall care delivery Hiring, development, and management of staff for the particular departments as described above. Performing evaluations and monitoring responsibilities of direct reporting staff Implementing strategic planning for on-going business development activities Developing and implementing the marketing and outreach strategies Facilitating decision making process with physician Medical Directors Managing and evaluating potential facility projects Maintaining appropriate communications with all physicians regarding all activities
Participating in negotiations with third-party payers, physicians, healthcare providers, and payers a. Actively assisting in physician recruitment efforts b. Serving as physician and public liaison; serving on community boards as appropriate
